Central Carolina Technical College Foundation Board Welcomes Three New Members
Sumter, SC (09/18/2023) — The Central Carolina Technical College Foundation, Inc. recently named three new members to its governing board.
The new members include Quinetta Buterbaugh, Elease Lloyd and Josh Wilson.
Buterbaugh is a district manager for government and community relations in South Carolina for Duke Energy. She is responsible for issues management, public relations, corporate contributions and community relations programs for a five-county region. She will represent Sumter County on the Foundation Board.
Buterbaugh holds a master of science degree in management and leadership from Coker College and a bachelor of science in business degree in communications from the University of Phoenix. She holds a certificate in Executive Management from Francis Marion University and the Institute for Organization Management designation from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
In addition to her work with Duke Energy, she has served as the president of the Greater Hartsville Chamber of Commerce and the business engagement coordinator at the Darlington County School District, where she spearheaded its workforce development initiatives.
She currently serves on the board of directors for the Lee County Chamber of Commerce and has previously served on the Florence-Darlington Technical College Education Foundation board. She is a Riley Fellow of the Diversity Leaders Initiative, a graduate of Leadership Hartsville, the Catawba-Wateree Citizens Water Academy and Leadership South Carolina.
Buterbaugh and her husband, Dallas, have two daughters and two granddaughters.
Lloyd is a Mental Health Counselor with the Lee County School District. She received her associate's degree from Central Carolina Technical College, a bachelor's degree from Saint Leo College and master's degree from Webster University. Lloyd will represent Lee County on the Foundation Board.
She currently serves on the Lee County Disabilities and Special Needs Board and is secretary of the Union Baptist Church Joint Board. She previously served on the Girl Scouts of Eastern South Carolina Board of Directors.
Lloyd enjoys volunteering, reading, sewing, exercising, event decorating, traveling and line dancing. She is the mother of three adult sons and is a grandmother of eight.
Wilson is a graduate of the University of South Carolina. He is a Certified Public Accountant with Cantey Tiller Pierce and Green, LLP in Camden and will represent Kershaw County on the Foundation Board.
Wilson has served as president and treasurer of the Camden Jaycees and chairman and treasurer of the Wateree Chapter of Ducks Unlimited. He enjoys cooking, hunting and playing golf. Wilson and his wife, Sarah, have two children.
The Central Carolina Technical College Foundation board of trustees is comprised of community leaders from the college's service area of Clarendon, Kershaw, Lee and Sumter counties. The mission of the foundation is to establish, grow and manage resources that serve as a catalyst to create educational opportunities and enhance academic excellence within the college's service area.
Established in 1977, the foundation provides support to the college to enhance its efforts to prepare students to enter the job market and achieve their professional goals. Over its 46-year history, the foundation has awarded more than $2.5 million in scholarships to more than 3,500 students.
