Central Carolina Technical College to host Skills Exploration Expo Saturday, April 18

Sumter, SC (04/13/2026) — Central Carolina Technical College will host its annual SEE: Skills Exploration Expo this Saturday, April 18, inviting prospective students and community members to explore hands-on career pathways and educational opportunities.

The free event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the college's main campus and is designed to give attendees an interactive look at high-demand programs and career fields offered at CCTC.

SEE: Skills Exploration Expo provides a unique opportunity for participants to engage directly with faculty, staff and current students while experiencing live demonstrations across a variety of disciplines. Programs featured will include areas such as advanced manufacturing, health sciences, accounting and more.

In addition to academic exploration, attendees will have access to admissions, financial aid and career services representatives who can assist with next steps toward enrollment. The event is open to prospective students of all ages, including high school students, adult learners and those considering a career change.

The expo will also feature a variety of family-friendly activities and community partners. Attendees can enjoy a plant sale, face painting, pet adoption opportunities and food trucks, along with free blood pressure checks. Guests will also have the chance to enter giveaways for tickets to see Pitbull in concert, Travis Tritt, events at the Sumter Opera House and Gamecock Lanes. Community Broadcasters will be on site to help host the event and facilitate giveaways.

Attendees are encouraged to register in advance, though walk-ins are welcome.
