Students Get a Jump on College with New Summer Quick Start Program at Central Carolina Technical College

Sumter, SC (04/01/2022) — Central Carolina's new Quick Start program is a five-week program designed for incoming first year students to get an early start on their transition from high school to college. The program aims to make students familiar with the campus and professors before the start of the fall term while improving academic success skills. Credit course offerings include College 105, a freshman seminar course; CPT 101, an introduction to computers; MAT 155, contemporary mathematics; AHS 102, medical terminology; and RWR 100, transitional reading and writing. Two non-credit/Workforce Development courses will also be offered and include Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Classes for Summer Quick Start begin June 27, 2022.
