Central Carolina Technical College Announces Its New Five-Year Strategic Plan
Sumter, SC (10/23/2025) — Central Carolina Technical College has announced the launch of its new five-year strategic plan Educating Titans. Elevating Communities., which sets a clear direction for the college through 2030.
Approved by the CCTC Area Commission in May 2025, the plan reflects a renewed commitment to excellence in teaching, learning and workforce development while strengthening the college's mission to improve lives through excellence in teaching, learning and economic enhancement through workforce development across Clarendon, Kershaw, Lee and Sumter counties.
"The 2025-2030 Strategic Plan is at the heart of our mission and will serve as a roadmap to transform the lives of students, serve our local businesses and strengthen our communities," said CCTC President Dr. Jennifer Wilbanks.
Developed through months of data analysis, stakeholder input and campus collaboration, the plan centers on four key goals:
Goal 1: Student Success - Implement practices that enhance student success, including targeted support for online learners and stronger faculty-student engagement.
Goal 2: Internal Community - Grow talent through intentional career development, performance-based recognition and professional development in emerging technologies and best practices.
Goal 3: External Community - Strengthen visibility and partnerships through community engagement, outreach campuses and workforce-aligned programs that prepare workplace-ready graduates.
Goal 4: Sustainability - Secure sustainable resources through modernization of technology systems, phased migration to Software as a Service (SaaS) platforms and purposeful pursuit of external funding opportunities.
